Who doesn’t dream of time traveling? Or take a journey around the world while standing in your place? Well that’s possible with Kuwaiti photographer Bader AlBassam, a photographer who’s lens will take you beyond time & place.
I first knew Bassam’s artworks from the photo-shots of (Beyond Movements) that were all done by him, and honestly I was impressed! Luckily, Dar Al Fonoon hosted a solo exhibition for Bader (Pulse, Snap and Beyond) which featured images captured of street scenes in places you wouldn’t expect! No ordinary scenes from Cuba, Yemen, Russia and Turkey.
What I like about Bader AlBassam work is that he really goes beyond borders, you won’t see the regular features trending nowadays, you’ll see body motions, face expressions, Che Guevara, vintage public telephone, a genuine smile of a child, magnificent dance of a ballerina, a protest, a dog, water splash & more! All in black & white to add a touch of depth into the shots.
I’ll leave you with pictures of (Pulse, Snap and Beyond) exhibition & would love to see more exhibitions of Bader AlBassam in the future.
Cheers
