(Source: Ayyam Gallery): Ayyam Gallery Dubai is pleased to announce the twentieth edition of The Young Collectors Auction, along with a special section dedicated to a few rare modern masterpieces, to be held at its Al Quoz location in Dubai on 27 May 2014.
The May auction brings forth a treasure-trove of works by influential Syrian painters including modernists Nasser Chaura, Fateh Moudarres, Louay Kayyali, and Omar Hamdi, and contemporary figures Asaad Arabi, Moustafa Fathi, Abdullah Murad, Ahmad Moualla, and Safwan Dahoul. This staggering lineup of seminal painters provides seasoned buyers with an exclusive opportunity to expand their collections with rare works that chart the region’s development in art. Highlights from a subsequent generation of contemporary artists will reflect today’s trends in Middle Eastern art, notably through a robust selection of works by Syrian artists Khaled Takreti, Ammar Al Beik, Abdul Karim Majdal Al-Beik, Kais Salman, Mouteea Murad, and Tammam Azzam.
Aimed at making the auction experience and the appreciation of art accessible and enjoyable to all, The Young Collectors Auction welcomes the public to a viewing prior to the auction with artwork lots on display and specialists on hand available to answer any questions.
